Private singing lessons for all voice types. Located in Shenton Park, the studio has been operating since 1989 and has trained hundreds of voice students. Many of my students have studied continuously with me for over ten years. My lessons are about much more than learning songs. I teach a wide variety of styles and I myself have many years of performance experience in these styles. I am passionate about helping young singers become competent musicians as well as singers and not just miming what they hear on Youtube. Singers in my studio are expected to learn the background of the repertoire, and where applicable the original languages of the songs. It’s fun and enriching to learn songs in other languages and teaches us about the world in which we live. In short, my knowledge is broad and I like to share this with my students and to help create in them the same love for the repertoire as I have.

Types of Singing Lessons:

Consult: The Consult Lesson is for school-age students between the ages of 7-17 wishing to enrol for the year and have a lesson at the same time on a weekly basis by school term.
All students under 18 require a consult lesson before enrolling in the studio. The consult lesson is a chance for child/student and parent to meet me and for me to assess the child’s/student’s readiness and discuss what is involved. It is also a chance for me to advise on other required types of tuition before starting singing lessons (sometimes aural training is recommended). After this lesson, a place may be made available. If there are no vacancies for a scheduled time, then you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted when one becomes available. [fees]

Private Weekly Scheduled Lessons: One on one lessons for ages 7-17 are private lessons from 30 minutes to 3/4 hour. A minimum of 1-year commitment is expected. A consult lesson must be made prior to commencing. [fees]

Adult Lessons: Age 18 and over. Lesson appointments are scheduled as and when required and when there are vacancies. These may be weekly lessons also. Booking in advance is highly recommended. Whether your need is to prepare for a performance or an audition or simply for the sheer enjoyment of singing choose between 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons.
